Did you know that up to 57 per cent of teens have a history of tooth decay in their permanent teeth? Sadly, up to 10 per cent of that group have between 5-8 permanent teeth affected which is nearly five times the national Australian average. The research, conducted as part of the Child Dental Health survey by the Australian Research Centre for Population Oral Health, shows teens are a relevant target market for dentists. With large numbers of teens connected to the Internet for most of their waking hours, targeted dental practice advertising can help those image-conscious teens find dental help.
